Title: Comprehensive Assessment of Water Quality in Wulie River Using Bayes Method
Abstract: The Bayes method is used to analyze and evaluate the water quality of the Wulie River based on the observed data at six monitoring sections in 2010.The result shows that the water quality for all sections is above Class III,resulting in an overall good water quality which meets the requirement for the water function zoning.Furthermore,66.7% of all the sections have the water quality reaching Class I,including the upstream of Gaositai, the Shuangfengsi reservoir dam site, the Baoshenmiao, and the downstream of sewage treatment works outlet. The water quality at the downstream of Gaositai only reaches Class III,which is due to the effects of domestic wastewater from Gaositai town and its mining area, and the agricultural drainage water discharged into the river without treatment. In order to ensure the water quality and water supply in the river basin after the Shuangfengsi reservoir operation,it is necessary to employ the water-environment protection measures from three aspects, including water resource construction, control on point source pollution, and control on non-point source pollution.
