Title: Comparative Study on Speech Sounds of Burmese and Chinese Idioms
Abstract: Burmese is one of the languages used by people in largest numbers in Sino-Tibetan language family except Chinese, with rich historical evidence in both spoken and written language. By comparing speech sounds with idioms of Burmese and Chinese, one may find out a lot of general characters and different characteristics in such multi-syllable structures as four syllables and two-part pattern four syllables as well as regular patterns of rhymes of them, so that close relationships between Burmese and Chinese could be found.
