Title: Relationship between pathological changes and grades of cervical spondylotic myelopathy
Abstract: Objective To study the relationship between pathological changes and pathological grades of cervical spondylotic myclopathy (CSM) .Methods 120 intervertebral discs of patients with CSM in varions pathological grades were resected,divided into fibrous annulus and pulpiform nucleus, stained with hematoxylin - eosin.and observed under microscope. The pathological changes found in the intervertebral discs were clasestied into 7 indices,and analyzed statistically.Results Patients with different pathological grades of CSM had relevant pathological changes in intervertebral discs. Conclusions There is significant relationship between the pathological changes and grades of CSM, and also belween the indices of pathological changes in interveitebral discs.
