Title: Results of Drinking Water Quality Monitoring in Huishan District of Wuxi City during 2009-2010
Abstract: [Objective]To understand the status of drinking water quality in Huishan district of Wuxi city,ensure the drinking water safety,and provide the basis for decision-making. [Methods]The water quality monitoring was conducted in 4 monitoring sites of centralized water supply and 2 monitoring sites of secondary water supply in Huishan district.The analysis and evaluation was performed according to the Standards for drinking water quality(GB 5749-2006). [Results]The qualified rate of drinking water in Huishan district in 2009 and 2010 was 97.9%(188/192) and 92.0%(127/138) respectively,which was satisfactory.In 2009,the qualified rate of centralized water supply and secondary water supply was 96.9%(124/128) and 100%(64/64) respectively,and all of the unqualified items were total bacteria counts.In 2010,the qualified rate of centralized water supply and secondary water supply was 88.0%(81/92) and 100%(46/46) respectively,and the unqualified items were residual chlorine concentration and total bacteria counts. [Conclusion]The sanitary condition of drinking water in Huishan district was good,but there were still unqualified items in summer and autumn.It is necessary to strengthen the water quality monitoring in summer and autumn,and notify the information to water supply departments rapidly,so as to ensure drinking water safety.
