Title: Optimization of structural parameters of regenerator under optimum thermodynamic performance of gas turbine plants
Abstract: In order to analyze thermodynamic performance of gas turbine plants cycle, the non-dimensional entropy generation number Ns was introduced, which indicates its rate of thermodynamic perfection. The relations between parameters of thermal performance were studied, they are:regenerator effectiveness σ,temperature ratio τ,pressure ratio π and entropy generation number Ns.The smaller Ns is,the better temperature ratio τ and pressure ratio π are.The optimization process of a plate-fin heat exchanger of gas turbine was presented as an example. All available computational methods were listed to choose the optimal one.Labview 8.2 software is taken as solving tool. The best ratio of area to volume is investigated via optimizing the thermodynamic performance and structural parameters in order to improve the efficiency of the gas turbine plants corculation and reduce the enegy loss.
