Title: A Survey on Urban Traffic Congestion of Beijing in View of People's Livelihood
Abstract: The issue of urban traffic congestion in Beijing has resulted in a complex social economic background,but the primary reason is the ignorance of the people's livelihood in city planning and transportation policy-making.To solve the problem,we should establish the concept of generalized traffic welfare and social compensation mechanism.Based on the understanding above,this paper proposes such pragmatic recommendations as,firstly,the priority right of way of the public transport;secondly,limiting car usage by economic levers;thirdly,development of multi-level public transport system;then,perfection of slow traffic system;promoting green travel and friendly driving;and finally equalization of public resources.
