It is pointed out that the rank reversal existing in ideal point multiple attribute decision making, such as TOPSIS, is the results of using relative ideal points. Then a generalized TOPSIS, called GTOPSIS, is presented. It is proved that if using absolute ideal points, ideal point multiple attribute decision making, such as GTOPSIS etc, are strong rank preservation, namely there exists not any rank reversal in them.Read More
