Title: Effects of High Temperature Stress on Soluble Sugar and Membrane Protective Enzyme of Rice
Abstract: The effects of high temperature stress on the activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and peroxidase(POD) and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA) and soluble sugar in rice variety K30 were studied. The results showed that high temperature stress lowered the activity of SOD and POD and the content of soluble sugar and significantly enhanced MDA content in the flag leaves. The physiological mechanism for the injury caused by high temperature stress is discussed.
