Title: Research of Optimal Timing Model Based on Dynamic Control of Traffic Flow at Intersection
Abstract: Aiming at the problem that the signal control of urban intersections still mainly using single-point fixed phase and the optimal timing methods cannot optimize traffic along with the alterable state of traffic flow,with the principle of traffic flow line compatibility and the minimum loss of green light,and according to the intersection entrance traffic flow,the phase of optimal flow line combination is dynamically generated. After ascertain the combination of periodic phase,the vehicles' average delay of the traffic flow lines is analyzed respectively when the vehicles are detained in the traffic flow line or not at the end of the period. Combining with the delay model,the timing optimal model which can adapt to the dynamic changes of intersection traffic flow is established,and the optimal timing of phases are calculated to achieve the dynamic optimization control of the intersection traffic line. The calculation example shows that the delay is smaller and the improvement of intersection running state is more effective when using the optimal timing model based on dynamic control of traffic flow.
