Title: Bioactive Chemical Constituents from Tibetan Medicine Dracocephalum tanguticum Maxim.
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To study bioactive constituents of the aerial parts of Dracocephalum tanguticum Maxim. METHODS Compounds were isolated and purified by column chromatography with silica gel and LH-20,which structures were elucidated by spectral analysis. RESULTS Eighteen compounds were obtained and identified as 5,7,4'-trihydroxy-3',5'-dimethoxyflavone (1),5,3',4'-trihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavone (2),pedalitin (3),vanillic acid (4),p-coumaric acid (5),5,6,4'-trihydroxy-7-methoxyflavone (6),pedaliin-6''-acetate (7),cirsiliol-4'-glucoside (8),lupeol (9),β-sitisterol (10),(R,S)-butyl rosmarinate (11),methyl rosmarinate (12),benzoic acid (13),apigenin 7-O-β-D-glucoside (14),pedaliin (15),methyl chlorogenate (16),5,4'-dihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavone 4'-O-β-D-glucoside (17),rosmarinic acid (18). CONCLUSION Among eighteen isolated compounds, compound 1,2,4-6,11-13,16-18 were isolated and identified from this plant for the first time. Compound 11 exhibited anti-HBV effect in vitro, compound 18 showed weakly inhibitory effect.
