Title: Treatment of hepatic and renal cyst by ethanol injection through percutaneous catheter drainage under CT guidance
Abstract: Objective: To analyse the value of treatment of hepatic and renal cyst by ethanol injection through percutaneous catheter drainage under CT guidance.Methods: In 26 patients,hepatic cyst 14 cases(8 male,6 female,34 to 69 years old) were hepatic cyst,6 cases(5 male,1 female,42 to 58 years old) were renal cyst,6 cases(5 male,1 female,51 to 62 years old) were hepatic and renal cyst.All patients were treated by ethanol injection through percutaneous catheter drainage under CT guidance.Results: The successful rate was 100%.The curative rate was 100%.The complications were observed such as local abdominal pain and face being red etc.There were no serious complications.Conclusion: CT guided percutaneous catheter drainage is an effective safe therapy for the treatment of hepatic and renal cyst by ethanol injection.
