Title: On Gradation Sequence of Chinese English Learners' Lexical Knowledge and Competence——A Research Based on Comparative Analysis of English Corpus
Abstract: Analyses the word-overusing phenomenon in cognitive psychological perspective,on the basis of CLEC,Brown Corpus and BNC.The results show that Chinese English learners are not adept in the four dimensions of English lexical knowledge and competence,i.e.,the width and depth of lexical knowledge and preciseness and automatization of lexical knowledge application.Through the analysis of these four dimensions,a gradation sequence of lexical knowledge and competence is obtained,which is a continual process from fundamental cognition,further internalization,accurate application to fluency acquisition.
