Title: Rules of precancerous gastric mucosa changes in aged patients
Abstract: Objective To study the rules of precancerous gastric mucosa changes in aged patients.Methods Gastroscopy data obtained during the follow-up of 79 aged patients with gastric carcinoma were retrospectively analyzed.Results The average progress time of atrophic gastritis,gastric mucosa dysplasia,intestinal metaplasia(moderate and severe) + gastric mucosa dysplasia(moderate and severe) to gastric cancer was 9.53,9.16,4.07 and 3.89 years,respectively.Some gastric cancer patients did not undergo intestinal metaplasia or gastric mucosa dysplasia.Conclusion Gastroscopy and follow-up of patients with intestinal metaplasia or gastric mucosa dysplasia help to detect gastric carcinoma,especially early-stage gastric carcinoma.
