Title: Diagnostic Value of Serum Brain Natriuretic Peptide in Gerontal Patients with Heart Failure
Abstract: Objective: To appraise diagnostic value of serum brain natriuretic peptide (BNP)in gerontal patients with heart failure. Methods: Using ELISA method to determine the BNP levels of the heart failure group and the control group by common of 38 cases, then to made comparison with both groups. Results: The serum BNP levels in patients with heart failure were significantly higher than the control group (P 0.01),and the serum BNP levels demonstrate the positive correlation with the graveness degree of the heart failure. Conclusion: The value of BNP is a good indicatrix to diagnose the heart failure in gerontal patients,it can reflect the graveness degree of the heart failure, and will possess extensive clinical application.
