METHODS: Two hundred and eighty patients with functional dyspepsia were randomly divided into three groups. Trimebutine group, one hundred patients M39,F61;age (41± s 14) a were treated with trimebutine, 200 mg, po ,tid for 2 wk. Cisapride group, ninety patients M31,F59;age (42±13) a were treated with cisapride, 10 mg, po , tid for 2 wk. Metoclopramide group, ninety patients M30, F60; age (43±11) a were treated with metoclopramide, 10mg, po , tid for 2 wk. RESULTS:The total effective rates of trimebutine group, cisapride group, and metoclopramide group were 85%, 84%, and 62%, respectively. There were no differences between trimebutine group and cisapride group ( P 0.05 ). There were obvious differences between trimebutine group and metoclopramide group ( P 0.01 ). Adverse reactions of trimebutine group were similar to those of cisapride group, less than those of metoclopramide group ( P 0.05 ). CONCLUSION:Trimebutine is safe and effective in treating FD and similar to cisapride, superior to metoclopramide.Read More
