Title: The state of art of research on mechanical properties of corroded reinforced concrete structures
Abstract: Based on the results of a lot of researches on corroded reinforced concrete structures in the world in recent years, this paper summarizes and discusses the mechanical properties of concrete members which have suffered from different degrees of reinforcement corrosion, including mode of failures, flexural loading capacity and ductility, bonding properties between reinforcement and concrete, influences of cracking and loading on corrosion as well as hysteretic characteristics. For the reinforced concrete structures deteriorated seriously in marine exposure conditions, problems related to corrosion are analyzed and further research tasks in marine environment are put forward. The paper aims at providing a reference for the durability design and evaluation of service life of reinforced concrete structures in marine environment.
