Title: Synthesis of poly(AA)-chitosan graft copolymer
Abstract: The poly(AA)-chitosan graft copolymer was synthesized by graft copolymerization of the monomer of acrylic acid(denoted as AA) onto the matrix of cross-linked spherical chitosan beads.The structure of the polymer was characterized by IR.And,the reaction conditions were also optimized.It was found that the optimum conditions included 2∶1 of the mass ratio of acrylic acid and spherical chitosan matrix,6.0% of the initiator dosage of ceric ammonium nitrate and HNO3,60.0℃ of the reaction temperature and 3.0h of the reaction time.Under the above conditions,the highest graft percentage could reach 34.96% and the homopolymer of AA was only 8.52%.
