Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between benign nodosity-changed chronic gastritis and pepsinogen(PG).Methods 120 patients underwent no pain gastroscope inspection endoscopy from August 2008 ...Objective To investigate the relationship between benign nodosity-changed chronic gastritis and pepsinogen(PG).Methods 120 patients underwent no pain gastroscope inspection endoscopy from August 2008 to August 2009 were recruited according to the inclusion criteria at Shanxi province people's hospital.40 cases were selected for control group,40 cases for nodular gastritis group,40 cases for chronic atrophic gastritis group according to the diagnosis of gastroendoscopy and pathology.Results Compared with control group,the PG Ⅰ levels decreased significantly and the PGⅡlevels ascended significantly in patients with nodular gastritis;the PG Ⅰ levels decreased significantly and PGⅡlevels ascended slightly but the PGR(PGⅠ/PGⅡ ratio)values decreased significantly in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis.Compared with the chronic atrophic gastritis group,the PG Ⅰ levels decreased significantly,the PGⅡlevels ascended significantly and the PGR values decreased significantly in nodular gastritis.The pepsinogen level of nodosity gastritis group is as same as control group after eradicating HP.Conclusions The levels of pepsinogen can be one of the serum indicators to distinguishing nodular gastritis and chronic atrophic gastritis.Serum pepsinogen determination also can judge the rapeutic effect of nodular gastritis,which could avoid the pain of repeated gastroscope inspection.Read More
