Title: Study on enrichment and separation of PdBr_4(2-) by phase separation extraction in the ethanol-H_2O system with visible spectrophotometry
Abstract: The behaviors and conditions of extraction separation and enrichment of PdBr42-from other metal ions in ethanol-H2O system were studied with visible spectrophotometry.The results showed that the ethanol-water solution could be well divided into two phases with the action of ammonium sulphate.The associated complex [PdBr62-][C2H5OH2+]2 formed with C2H5OH2+ and PdBr42-(combined from Pd(Ⅱ) and potassium Bromide)could be completely extracted during this process,Pd(Ⅱ) could be quantitatively separated from Fe(Ⅲ),Al(Ⅲ),Cr(Ⅲ),Ag(Ⅰ),Cu(Ⅱ),Ni(II),Zn(II),Co(II),Mn(II),V(Ⅴ),U(Ⅵ),Pb(Ⅱ),Ru(Ⅲ),Rh(Ⅲ) and Hg(Ⅱ) by extraction.and the extraction efficiency of Pd(Ⅱ) was higher than 98.6% when the concentrations of ethanol,potassium Bromide and ammonium sulphate in solution(pH 3) are 30%(V/V),6.0×10-3 mol/L and 0.3 g /.mL,respectively.
