Title: TNF-α Expression in Spleen Deficiency Mice and Comparative Study of Regulation of Different Origin Ginsengs
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the content of tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α)in spleen deficiency mice,and to compare the regulative effect of ginsengs in Liaoning,Jilin and North Korea.Methods:80 Kunming mice were randomly divided into control group(group A),normal mice fed with three ginseng groups(group A1,A2,A3),spleen deficiency group(group B)and spleen deficiency mice fed with three ginsengs groups(group B1,B2,B3),and there were 10 mice in each group.The spleen deficiency model was eatablished by feeding 100% senna for 10 days.After the spleen deficiency models established,group A1,A2,A3 and group B1,B2,B3 were fed with ginseng decoction of three origions,but group A and group B were fed with normal saline for two weeks.Then mice of each group were detected serum TNF-α content.Results:The serum TNF-α content in group A1,A2,A3 increased compared with that in group A,but there was no significant difference(P0.05).The serum TNF-α content in group B was decreased significantly compared with that in group A(P0.05);while the serum TNF-α content in group B1,B2,B3 was increased significantly compared with that in group B(Liaoning,Jilin and Korean ginsengs,respectively P0.05,P0.01,P0.01);and there was no significant difference in three ginseng groups(group B1,B2,B3).Conclusion:The serum TNF-α content was decreased in spleen deficiency mice.After the treatment of three ginseng decoction,the serum TNF-α level could be restored to its normal level.The effecacy of Jilin and Korean ginseng was significant,then followed by Liaoning ginseng.There was no significant effect of three kinds of ginseng decoction on normal mice.
