Situated near the birthplace of Buddhism, Southwest China is the first station via which Buddhism was introduced into the country. The infiltration and expansion of Buddhism in Southwest China is the process of Buddhism being naturalized in ethnic regions as well as other places of China. The influence of Buddhism is typically seen in southwest regions.
