Title: "New Historiography" Wavering between the Modern and Traditional Concepts——Theoretical Construction of the Historiography of Civilization during the Time of the Late Qing and Early Ming Guo Dynasties (sequence two)
Abstract: New Historiography is, fundamentally, a historiography of civilization in the time of the late Qing and early Ming Guo Dynasties. Essentially different from the traditional historiography, the object for the study of the historiography of civilizaion falls on those matters concerning about the social development of human and with its sphere for study as history of people and nation; and with its task to explore the historical causes and its aims to inspire people creating history, practicing patriotic ideas. In comparison with the western study, there is much focus on the inheritage from the reference of the traditional study but lack of the scientific issues of the civilized content. Hence, historiography of vivilization does not bring up well with its transition from the traditional academy to the modern one, and consequently falls between the modern and traditional concepts.
