Title: Comparison of personality traits of medical undergraduates with the Chinese version 15FQ
Abstract: ObjectiveTo assess the personality traits differences among official cadets and non-official cadets from military medical university and undergraduates from civil medical university with Chinese version 15FQ~ + . MethodsRecruiting the undergraduates from military medical university(official cadets and non-official cadets) and civil medical university to complete the Chinese version 15FQ~ + questionnaire, and then comparing the three groups' scores on the personality traits. ResultsThere were significant differences on 12 factors of Chinese version 15FQ~ + among the 3 groups undergraduates. The personality of non-official cadets showed much higher level in intelligence, more emotionally stable, dominant, conscientious, social-bold and suspicious than that of official cadets. The personality of official cadets showed more self-sufficient and self-disciplined, less enthusiastic and tender-minded than that of undergraduates from civil medical university. The personality of non-official cadets showed much higher level in intelligence, more emotionally stable, dominant, conscientious, suspicious, restrained and self-disciplined, less tender-minded and redical than that of undergraduates from civil medical university.ConclusionThe differences of personality traits in 3 groups were clearly showed through the Chinese version of 15FQ~ + , which means that the 15FQ~ + is an effective and universal questionnaire for the personality traits and it can be extensively used in China.
