Title: Effects of Temperature on Growth and Fatty Acid Composition of Dunaliella salina
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to find effects of different temperature on the growth and fatty acid composition in Dunaliella salina.The results showed that temperature in the range of 20-32 ℃,higher temperature and increase of illumination intensity was the optimal culture condition for the growth of D.salina;The results demonstrate that the major components of fatty acids in D.salina are C16 and C18 fatty acids,the percentages of saturated fatty acid(SFA)in total fatty acid of fatty acids of D.salina increased with the ascending temperature and increasing illumination intensity,while those of polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA)decreased under the condition of the experiment.
