Title: A Study on the Requirements for the Framework of Multidisciplinary Design Optimization
Abstract: A framework for multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) is the problem-solving environment that support application of multidisciplinary design optimization, and refers to a hardware and software architecture that enables integration, execution, and communication among diverse disciplinary processes. In this paper the requirements of the MDO framework were presented in the lieu of the MDO aims, industry requirements and the current MDO practice. Four MDO frameworks are examined based on these requirements.
