Title: Study on the Teaching Reform Based on the Independent,Cooperative, and Inquiry-based Learning within the Framework of Teacher Education Curriculum in Normal University
Abstract: Independent, cooperative and inquiry-based advocated by the New Curriculum has not been universally implemented in classrooms of elementary and secondary schools. This situation has a close relationship with the fact that the teachers who graduated from normal universities lack the experience of such style. The current teaching in our normal university is still mainly the mode of teacher speaking while students listening, which caused the arbitrariness and dependence in learning. This will badly hinder the development of college students' ability and the comprehensive quality. Therefore,we proposed and implemented the independent, cooperative and inquiry-based mode in the teaching reform in our university. The goal and idea of the reform are trying to realize transformations on four aspects: from me to to I want to learn;from learning dependently to learning independently;from learning solitarily to learning cooperatively;from learning based on knowledge to learning based on problem. The major measures we adopted in the reform include as follows: guiding students to learn independently, cultivating students' self-study ability;organizing students for cooperative learning, constructing community;implementing inquiry-based learning;asking students to observe and evaluate classroom teaching and organizing students to lecture in groups.
