Title: The clinical significance of Monitoring of serum drug concentration in children with epilepsy treated normally
Abstract: Objective To investigate The clinical significance of Monitoring of serum drug concentration in children with epilepsy treated normally.Methods Serum drug concentration in 192 epileptic children were monitored by High performance liquid chromatographic assay,all patients were treated with sodium valproate or Phenobarbital,the number of monitor was 576.the Results were analyzed.Results In 456 cases treated with sodium valproate,51.97% cases’ serum drug concentration in effective range.In 120 cases treated with Phenobarbital,45.0% cases’ serum drug concentration in effective range.conclusions Monitoring of serum drug concentration have a great value on the rational and effective treatment on epileptic children.
