Title: Effects of the Humanism Nursing Management on Rehabilitation of Patients with Schizophrenia
Abstract: Objective To explore the nursing method for the rehabilitation of patients with schizophrenia. Methods Sixty schizophrenic inpatients were randomly divided into the observation group and contorl group, with each group having 30 patients. Both groups received the antipsychotic treatment. The patients in the observation group received the humanism nursing management such as heath education, individuation mental adapt,living concern, emotional support and cultural nursing for 8 weeks, while those in the control group were subjected to the traditional functional nursing management only. All subjects were assessed by BPRS, SDSS and SCL-90. Results In the end of the treatment, the scores and subscores of the BPRS, SDSS and SCL-90 in the observation group were significantly lower than in the control group (all P0.01). Conclusion The humanism nursing management plays an important role in improving the living quality and symptoms of schizophrenic inpatients.
