Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy of transcatheter arterial embolization(TAE)for spontaneous ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods 16 patients with ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma were tre...Objective To evaluate the efficacy of transcatheter arterial embolization(TAE)for spontaneous ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods 16 patients with ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma were treated by TAE using Seldinger technique,in which gelatin sponge and iodized oil was used as embolus.Results Successful hemostasis was achieved in all patients,there were no recurrent hemorhage and acute hepatic function failure after the treatment in all cases.2 patient received aradical operation 15 days after the TAE,14 patients were treated by TACE for 1~4 times,diminution and necrosis of the difference level in the hepatocellular carcinoma,the 1 year survival rate of TACE was 28.6%.Conclusion Emergency TAE is safe and efective method for hemorrhage due to spontaneous rupture of hepatocellular carcinoma.In order to successor therapy provide method at the same time.Read More
