Title: Study on polymerization technology of copolymer acrylic acid/methyl acrylate and its characterization
Abstract: In this paper,using acrylic acid(AA),methyl acrylate(MA) as comonomers,ammonium persulfate and sodium bisulfite as redox system initiators,iso-propanol as chain transfer agent,water as solvent,copolymers of P(AA-MA) is synthesized by means of aqueous solution copolymerization.The composition and structure of the copolymer are characterized by means of IR,and the influence degree of all the factors on the intrinsic viscosity of copolymers is studied.The optimal conditions of polymerization are as follows:mole ratio of monomers(AA∶AM) is 8∶1,feeding time is 0.5 h,temperature of polymerization is 80℃,time of polymerization is 2.5 h,dosage of ammonium persulfate is 6%,dosage of sodium bisulfite is 2%,dosage of iso-propanol is 100%(calculated by weight of two monomers).
