Title: THE THEORETICAL STRUCTURE OF MINERAL SCIENCES
Abstract: Mineral sciences,as a subject system with many branches, its theoretical composition are composed of two major parts, minerals and their behaviour.Mineral sciences,as a subject with strict theory, its theoretical structure are composed of one core and several protective layers. The core of mineral sciences is mineralogy because its basic concepts and principles are very stable and have become the most fundamental theory and concept of mineral sciences. The protective layers of mineral sciences consist of three big branch groups:mineral engineering;the fundamental expanding, mineral engineering;the interdisciplinary and application, and mineral engineering;the theory and technology of test and analysis. And those branch groups support and supply each other.Mineral sciences,as a new subject, its core needs to be enriched and reinforced continuously, and its protective layers need to be enlarged and enhanced still further. So,mineral sciences has a huge developing space and very bright developing prospects.
