Title: Analysis of Genetic Diversity of Peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) Varieties under the Region Tests of North China based on SSR Marker
Abstract: Peanut is an important oil and economic crop in China. Many peanut breeders have been paying attention and efforts to solve the problem of narrow genetic diversity in peanut. In order to broaden the genetic basis in peanut breeding,it is necessary to know the genetic diversity in the current peanuts. In this study, the genetic diversity of 27 peanut varieties under the Region Tests of North China were analyzed with SSR markers.Total 57 bands were generated with 10 SSR primers,of which 45(78.95%) were polymorphic. The polymorphism information content(PIC) was varied from 0.417-0.857,with an average of 0.688.The genetic similarity(GS) among 27 peanut varieties were calculated based on the data from these SSR markers. The value of GS ranged from 0.311 to 0.962,with an average of 0.651.UPGMA cluster analysis showed that the 27 peanut varieties could be divided into three groups at similarities coefficient of 0.61.Most of the similar varieties were bred by the same breeders or belonged to the same type, which was in accordance with the pedigree information. It is no doubt that microsaterllites are very useful DNA markers to analyze genetic diversity in peanut varieties.
