Title: Diagnosis and Management of Regional Portal Hypertension:A Report of 8 Cases
Abstract: Objective To summarize the experience of diagnosis and management of regional portal hypertension(RPH).Methods The clinical manifestations,diagnostic methods and therapeutic modalities of 8 cases of regional portal hypertension were analyzed retrospectively.Results The primary pathogenies of RPH were chronic pancreatitis,pseudo cyst and tumour located at pancreatic body and tail.7 cases with upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage,hypersplenia were accompanied in all 8 cases.Splenectomy were performed in 8 cases,ex tensive devascularization around the cardia performed in 2 cases.Conclusion It is not difficult to diagnose regional portal hypertension.Splenectomy is recommended for primary lesion.
