Title: Analysis of Performance of Multi-constellation Modernized Satellite Navigation System
Abstract: Satellite positioning system becomes the most widely used method of navigation for its advantage of all-weather operation, high accuracy and broad signal coverage. But in certain areas, single satellite positioning system has its limitation, such as little number and bad geometric structure of visible satellites.Taking the update and modernization plan of each satellite system into consideration, this paper simulated the constellations on MATLAB platform and analyzed the deficiency of regional positioning performance for Beidou/GPS III/GLONASS/GALILEO.Furthermore,constellations of every satellite navigation systems were combined by using the least square method, and positioning performance of multi-constellation system was compared with single constellation system in two aspects: the number of visible satellites and the GDOP value.Simulation results indicate: the integrated navigation system can greatly increase the number of visible satellites and improve the GDOP value.
