Title: Corrosion Behavior of API X52 Steel in H_2S/CO_2 Saturated Aqueous Solution of 5%NaCl
Abstract: The corrosion behavior of X52 steel in CO2/H2S saturated aqueous solution of 5% NaCl at a temperature of 35℃ was investigated based on measurement of potentio-dynamic polarization curve and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and weight loss test in combination with surface analysis by means of scanning electron microscopy,energy dispersive spectrometry,and X-ray diffraction.It was found that the X52 steel was dominated by H2S corrosion in the selected test conditions.The corrosion rate decreased with increasing test time and tended to reach steady.The corrosion product film had two-layer structure.The outer layer was more compact and enriched with Fe and S elements,while the inner layer was looser and enriched with Fe and O elements.Such a kind of two-layer structure of the corrosion product film might be related to its ion selectivity.
