Abstract: The book Zhuang Zi shows the trinity of fable, randomness and tautology, which is different from the signified of conceptual but is the signifier with implied meanings. Therefore, the essence of the book is to express by means of images, which makes the study of the book possible with image thinking.Even in his dialectic book of On Leveling All Things,he starts with and finally returns to morals.During Heidegger's reflection and criticism of western metaphysics,he shows a tendency to Chinese Taoism. The poetic expression of his works in his later years is a contemporary western version of image thinking by transcending the limitation of conceptual thinking.
