Results showed that rice seed germination responded significantly to water Cd pollution: low concentration Cd 2+ (5mg/L) promoted germanation temporarily, but high concentration Cd 2+ (30mg/L) inhibited germination. The inhibition increased gradually with increased Cd concentration. The growth point of rice embryo spoiled and the seed did not germinate at the Cd 2+ concentration of more than 300 mg/L. Radicle was significantly more sensitive to Cd than plumula and α-amylase was more sensitive to Cd thanβ-amylase.Read More
