Title: Diagnosis of pulmonary embolism by spiral CT(report of 15 cases)
Abstract: Objective:To explore the value of spiral CT in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism(PE).Methods:15 cases of plain CT and contrast enhancement(CE) CT manifestations were analysed retrospectively.Results:Patchy consolidation,ground glass opacity,wedge-shaped shadow,mosaic oligemia etc can be seen on plain CT.On CE CT scan,the central pulmonary embolism is found in 12 cases,the peripheral pulmonary embolism is found in 3 cases;The dilatation of central pulmonary arteries is found in 10 cases;Enlargement of right ventricle is found in 7 cases;The bronchial artery appears in 15 cases,among them dilates in 6 cases;The bronchial vein appears and dilates in 1 case.The emboli are divided into 4 kinds according to the shapes.Conclusion:CT is of high value in the diagnosis of pulmonary artery embolism.
