Title: Experimental investigation on thermal performance of a flat heat pipe
Abstract: A novel flat heat pipe with sintering metal felt wick was put forward,which has features of high heat dissipation capacity,high permeability,high mechanical strength,and convenient manufacture.The thermal performance of this novel flat heat pipe was experimentally investigated under natural convection cooling condition.The startup performance,temperature uniformity characteristics and effects of heating power and tilt angles on thermal performance of the novel flat heat pipe were also analyzed.The results show that the equivalent thermal conductivity of this novel flat heat pipe can be up to 11.2times higher than that of shell material of the heat pipe.The novel flat heat pipe can also have good temperature uniformity.
