Title: Research on the correlation between mental health and personality of non-serving civilian nurses in military sanatorium
Abstract: Objective To analyze the correlation between mental health and personality of non-serving civilian nurses in a military sanatorium.Methods A total of 85 non-serving civilian nurses in military sanatorium were recruited.Symptoms Checklist 90(SCL-90) and Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire(16PF) were employed.The results were compared with the scores of nurses in local hospitals and military hospitals.Results The scores of nine factors of SCL-90 of non-serving civilian nurses in military sanatorium were significantly lower than those of nurses in local hospitals and military hospitals(P0.01 or P0.05).Part of scores of SCL-90 of non-serving civilian nurses in the sanatorium area were higher than the nurses in the treatment area(P0.01).Conclusion The managers should pay more attention to adaptation training for non-serving civilian nurses,and apply SCL-90 and 16PF to assess and choose the non-serving civilian nurses in military sanatorium.
