Title: Analysis to the risk factors of liver metastasis synchronized with colorectal cancer
Abstract: To discuss the risk factors of synchronization liver metastasis of large intestinal cancer, to improve the level of early diagnosis and treatment. 114cases of colorectal cancer treated during1996.1~1999.10 were retrospectively reviewed. 25cases have the synchronization liver metastasis. 78.9% of metastatic liver cancer whose size was larger than 1 cm could be detected by B ultrasonography combined with CT. Synchronization liver metastasis often occur in left liver lobes, the primary tumors are located in left colon more than other positions. Liver metastasis also occur in patient whose primary tumor size is over half intestinal cavity (79%), with lymph nodes around metastasis (89%), and in patient without hepatic cirrhosis. The rate of synchronization liver metastasis in well differentiated carcinoma is much higher than other pathological types, but had no statistic difference. Metastasis occur more often in patients with CEA≥15μg/L than those with CEA5μg/L( P 0.05).Serum CEA ≥15μg/L,with lymph nodes around metastasis, without hepatic cirrhosis are the risk factors of synchronization liver metastasis of large intestinal cancer, well differentiated carcinoma is subjected to liver metastasis. It is helpful to improve the early diagnosis of liver metastasis for using B ultrasonography combined with CT and measuring the serum CEA. It should be operated for liver resection to the colorectal hepatic metastases.
