Title: Measurement and Analysis of Metro-induced Floor and Ground Vibration of a Building before and after Construction in Existing Metro Operation Area
Abstract: Taking a newly bulit buliding in existing metro operation area as an example, the freefield′s acceleration before construction of the building and the free-field and floor′s accelerations after construction of the buliding were measured. The rule of ground vibration caused by metro running was analyzed in respect of effective value and level of the acceleration. At the same time, fourier spectrum and one-third octave spectrum were used to analyze the frequency characteristic of vibration. The results show that sometimes, there exists a local rebound region of the metroinduced vibration in free-field.The vibration intensity in free-field is slightly larger than that of the first floor of the buildings and the acceleration measured in the free-field can be used as an excitation to calculate the response of the proposed buildings. It is also found the ground vibration in the foundation pit is far less than that of free-field.
