Title: A comparative study of the activity of three key enzymes of Myzus persicae(Sulzer) in different tobacco production areas
Abstract: The toxicity of imidacloprid and omethoate to Myzus persicae in Sanming region and Hefei region was measured. Also studied was the bioactivity of carboxyl esterase (CarE), acetylcholinesterase (AchE), and glutathione-transferase (GSTs) from the Myzus persicae in the above two regions. Results of bioassay revealed that the bioactivity of imidacloprid to Myzus persicae is higher than that of omethoate in both regions, and the susceptibility of Myzus persicae in Sanming region is lower than that of Myzus persicae in Hefei region. The toxicity equation of Myzus persicae population in Sanming region showed that the value of b was low and the Myzus persicae population presented heterogeneity. The difference between the activity of CarE and that of AchE was not notable, but the activity of GSTs of Myzus persicae in Sanming region was obviously higher than that of Myzus persicae in Hefei region.
