Title: Effect of Different Fertilizers and Fertilizer Levels and Fertilizing Methods on Yield and Economic Benefit of Maize
Abstract: The effect of different fertilizers, fertilizer levels and fertilizing methods on yield and economic benefit of maize was studied in the paper. The results showed that CK2-40 treatment(two times dressing of 40 kg/667 m2) has the highest yield, followed by A-40 treatment(Wofute release fertilizer 40 kg/667m2). Analysis on economic benefit showed that A-40 treatment has the highest income, followed by CK2-40treatment. The yield and net income of CK2(two times dressing) increased with increase of amount of fertilizer. As the amount of fertilizer increased, yield and net income of A, B, C and CK1 increased at first, and then decreased. This indicated that yield and economic benefit of maize was not directly proportional to amount of fertilizer. Thus, optimal types and amount of fertilizer and fertilizing method should be selected in maize production. According to the experimental results, we recommend that the A-40(Wofute release fertilizer at 40kg/667 m2) be used as base fertilizer and applied in one time.
