Abstract: Juvenile idiopathic arthritis(JIA),the most common rheumatologic disease in childhood,is characterized by arthritis beginning before the age of 16 years with symptoms persisting for more than 6 weeks with unknown causes. It was divided into seven subtypes by the International League of Associations for Rheumatology(ILAR):systemic arthritis, oligoarthritis, polyarthritis rheumatoid factor(RF)negative, polyarthritis RF positive, psoriatic arthritis, enthestis related arthritis(ERA),and undifferentiated arthritis. The appropriate auxiliary examinations should be chosen to differentiate it carefully from other causes that presented similar manifestations to JIA.Attention should be paid to assess the disease activity, prognosis and treatment outcomes.Meanwhile, complications needs to be watched.
