Title: Risk factors of hematoma enlargement in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage at acute stage
Abstract: Objective To investigate the risk factors of hematoma enlargement in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage at acute stage. Methods The clinical data of 100 acute intracerebral hemorrhage patients with hematoma enlarged and another 100 acute intracerebral hemorrhage patients without hematoma enlarged were compared, and the risk factors were also analyzed by multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results The mean blood pressure, interval to onset, hematoma shape, location, bleeding volume, vomiting, fibrinogen level were significantly different between the two groups (P 0. 05 - 0. 01) . The multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that factors of influence on hematoma enlargement were mean arterial blood pressure, interval to onset, hematoma shape and vomiting. Conclusion High level of mean arterial blood pressure, short time of interval to onset, irregular shape of hematoma and frequent vomiting are main risk factors of hematoma enlargement in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage at acute stage.
