Title: A Comparison between Epicurean's Principle of Joy and Aristotle's View of Happiness
Abstract: In the philosophical history of ancient Greece,Epicurean and Aristotle respectively adopt the issue of what is in establishing the foundations of their respective ethics system.In this theoretical frame that has two different theory cornerstones,similar elaboration on the status and condition of happiness and the relation between happiness and morality.Aristotle,however,emphasizes that the relations between individual happiness and city-state happiness must be cultivated through the ways of education and legislation to raise people's morality and so on.Comparing these two kinds of views on happiness is beneficial for us to ponder the issue of happiness.
