Title: Financial Consumer Protection of Cross Financial Products and Services from a Regulatory Perspective
Abstract: To strengthen the consumer protection of cross financial products and services benefits financial stability. The existing problems in consumer protection are directly related with legal construction lag,institutional regulation lag,imperfect regulation of consumers' right to know,regulators' lack of planning and coordination etc. China should as soon as possible,based on foreign experiences in legislation and financial consumer protection,formulate the financial consumer protection guidelines,unify the legal concept of financial consumer,formulate the general rules for financial service providers' transactions,build classification system and statistical standards for cross financial businesses,and set financial institution's handling of consumer complaints as the pre-procedure for regulators to accept consumer complaints.
