Title: A Probe into Two Different Opinions about Mao Zedong’s Artistic Attitude
Abstract: In the field of Chinese literature, an opinion has been taken that Mao Zedong preferred romanticism to elegant art, which in fact is a misunderstanding about Mao Zedong’s artistic attitude. In Mao’s viewpoint realistic works was never secondary to romantic ones but what he preferred was implication in writing. The author argues that Mao Zedong never looked down upon the elegant artistic style and meanwhile he indeed favored the style, regarding it as an artistic pursue in his writing.
