Title: Clinical assessment of left ventricular ejection fraction with 64-slice spiral computed tomography
Abstract: Objective To explore the correlation of 64-slice multislice computed tomography(MSCT)and gated blood pool imaging(GBPI)for determining left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),and to investigate the accuracy of MSCT for LVEF. Methods Forty-seven patients with suspected coronary artery diseases were performed CT coronary angiography and GBPI. Results There was no significant difference in LVEF between two methods, and MSCT and GBPI were highly correlated.LVEF was overestimated with MSCT compared with GBPI. Conclusion MSCT is accurate and dependable for evaluating the LVEF,and the LVEF has a high correlation with the result by GBPI.
